The Paul Sawyier Public Library kicked off their summer reading program “Dig Into Reading” with a Kick-Off Festival and Open House on Saturday, June 1st.  Hundreds showed up to sign up for the summer reading program and enjoy the activities provided by the Friends of the Paul Sawyier Public Library.  Live music was provided by Sacre Bleu, a local blues/zydeco band. Local radio station personality with Star 103.7, Mindy in the Morning, was also on hand. There were food, games, and activities for all ages as well as inflatables, face painting, a petting zoo, henna tattoos, corn hole, and even a bubble car machine!  Entire families enjoyed the afternoon of outdoor activities free of charge.
