The Frankfort Kiwanis Club Cruise-In is usually a large draw for the downtown area. But Mother Nature had other plans this Labor Day weekend! Only about a quarter of the cars showed up for the cruise-in car show that normally show up and none of the crowds. Torrential rains before the show and threatening the show during the three-hour long event, prompted the organizers to call it a day about halfway through. Despite the early end to the car show, those that attended enjoyed the cars that did show up and the camaraderie that goes with being a proud classic or muscle car owner.
Enjoy the photos! These are special for Capital Living because they were taken by Katie Cole, my 11-year-old daughter that has attended enough of the events around Frankfort to know what to photograph.
