Commonwealth Credit Union will once again be teaming with Shred-It and local law enforcement to host three “Community Shred Day” events.
This is a great way for Commonwealth CU members and the general public to safely dispose of any old and unneeded financial or personal records. The credit union will host three of these Shred events in Central Kentucky, and you can bring up to 5 “storage size” boxes of personal records for secure disposal. Business records will not be accepted for shredding.
Everyone attending is encouraged to donate non-perishable food items that will be given to the Backpack Snack program at Family Resource Centers located in local schools. This program provides nutritional food over the weekend for local school children in need.
The three Community Shred Events will be held:
Friday, April 25 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – 1425 Louisville Rd. Branch, Frankfort Sponsored by Commonwealth CU, Shred-It, Frankfort City Police and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office
Friday, May 9 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – 108 Lawson Drive Branch, Georgetown Sponsored by Commonwealth CU, Shred-It, Georgetown City Police and the Scott County Sheriff’s Office
Friday, May 16 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – 2540 Sir Barton Way (Hamburg Branch), Lexington Sponsored by Commonwealth CU and Shred-It
