Tuesday night was Frankfort/Franklin County Community night at the Lexington Legends.  And the crowd showed up to tribute to one of their own.  Frankfort native, JT Riddle is a graduate of Western Hills High School and a former UK Wildcat.  Riddle was picked up by the Florida Marlins and is working his way up through the minor league with the Greensboro Grasshoppers, the affiliate to the Marlins team.  This week, he returned to his home territory to a sea of familiar faces watching him play baseball against the Lexington Legends.  Everyone from Frankfort was a winner Tuesday night as they watched JT and the Grasshoppers play the Legends.

Part of the fun from Tuesday night were Frankfort Area Chamber of Commerce’s own president, Rene True and Star 103.7’s DJ Dan each getting to throw out the first pitch.  Executive Director of the Frankfort Chamber, Carmen Inman, was also honorary coach of the Lexington Legends for the evening.  Capital Living, as a sponsor for the evening, invited Carrie Cosby and Katrisha Waldridge and their guests to the game.  Carrie won four tickets to the game via a Twitter contest Monday.  And Katrisha won her set of four tickets through a Facebook contest held Monday.

The Lexington Legends beat the rain coming in that night.  But they were not able to beat the Greensboro Grasshoppers.  Regardless, it’s safe to say everyone had a good time that night!
