Franklin County Public Schools Volunteers Needed:  

   The new school year is now upon us, and we are asking once again for your help to make a difference in the life’s of our students. Below is a list of  Volunteer and Mentoring Opportunities, please feel free to call me regarding any of these programs or a program you would like to see in Franklin County.  Thank you all again for truly making Franklin County an Educational Community

One on One Mentoring – all schools

Little Lunch Buddies -Mentoring Program – Early Learning Village

Diversity Programs – all schools

Tutoring – all schools

Reading to classrooms – all schools

Adopt a classroom – Bridgeport

Speakers for classrooms or clubs – all schools

Career Fairs – all schools

Operation Preparation – for 8th and 10thgraders
Watch Dogs – Hearn, Collins Lane, FCHS

Job Shadowing/Co-op – FCHS, FHS, WHHS

Workshops – College and Career Readiness

Project Alert – EMS

Entrepreneurship Mentoring- EMS

If you are interested in participating in any of the above programs, please contact the Chamber Office ASAP by calling the office at 502-223-8261 or email chamber@frankfortky.info.  The Chamber would like to develop a list of businesses and individuals, along with their project who are working on these programs.  This will allow them to track our progress in engagement with Kentucky State University and our local school systems.
