On Saturday, January 31st, four girls’ teams and four boys’ teams faced off in the Semifinals of the Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic at the Frankfort Convention Center.  The ladies from Owensboro Catholic faced off against the ladies of Covington Holy Cross in the first game.  While the ladies from Murray took on the ladies of Gallatin County in the second game.  The first game of Saturday evening saw the guys from Lexington Christian Academy take on the defending champions from Newport Central Catholic.  While the second game of the night saw the guys from Owen County go up against the guys from Monroe County.

10:00 am – 9:00 pm – Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic, A statewide basketball tournament for the smallest 131 high schools in Kentucky.  The 16 boys and girls regional winners will play at the “state” tournament held at the Frankfort Convention Center, 405 Mero Street. On Friday, January 30th, the Frankfort Convention Center played host to the Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic Basketball Tournament Quarterfinals.  After two days of First Round Girls’ and Boys’ basketball games on Wednesday and Thursday, the best eight teams from sixteen regions from across the commonwealth faced off for the right to play in the Semifinals on Saturday, January 31st.  Both girls and boys played on Friday.
