The best of the best in high school girls’ and boys’ basketball from around the state will be competing in Frankfort from January 28th through February 1st.
Pre-sale tickets for the Touchstone Energy All ‘A’ Classic are now on sale at the Frankfort Convention Center. Tickets can be purchased for $8 per session from 8am – 4pm each day. All-tournament passes are also available for $75 through January 28, 2015.

2015 Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic basketball begins this week. Every year, Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives are happy to co-sponsor the Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic, an annual celebration of youth in which students from the state’s smallest high schools get a much deserved opportunity to compete in academics and sports on a big stage.
From Jan. 28 to Feb. 1, the All “A” Classic’s best-known events—the boys’ and girls’ state basketball tournaments—will take place at the Frankfort Convention Center. EKPC partners with Kentucky’s other Touchstone Energy Cooperatives to sponsor these great events, in which 16 boys’ and 16 girls’ regional basketball champs battle it out for All “A” state titles. The girls’ tournament begins on Jan. 28 and the boys’ tournament the next day. Both state championship games are scheduled for Feb. 1.
In-game cheerleading competitions will take place during the first rounds of boys’ and girls’ basketball play. Contests are held in additional sports throughout the year, including baseball, softball, golf, volleyball and soccer.
“The Kentucky Touchstone All ‘A’ Classic basketball tournament allows some of the Commonwealth’s best teams to get the statewide recognition they deserve,” said Jeff Hohman of Kentucky’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives. “It’s very exciting, but without the All ‘A,’ these boys and girls might be overlooked. We’re dedicated to helping kids from all backgrounds excel in academics, the arts and sports.”

About the Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic at the Frankfort Convention Center
The Frankfort Convention Center is proud to host the Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic basketball tournament.
The Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic is a statewide basketball tournament for the smallest 131 high schools within the commonwealth of Kentucky based on student enrollment for the grades 9-12 as verified through Kentucky Department of Educations records on October 1st of each year. The winners from the 16 boys’ regional tournaments along with the 16 girls’ regional tournament champions will advance to the statewide tournament held in Frankfort from January 28 – February 1, 2015.
Of the 126 Class “A” schools that are members of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association, 120 boys’ teams and 120 girls’ teams have committed to participate in this year’s Touchstone Energy All “A” Basketball Classic.
The All “A” Classic will provide over 15,000 smaller school students with the opportunity to actively participate in a statewide volleyball competition, a scholarship program, an art competition, statewide baseball tournament, statewide fast pitch softball tournament, and a cheerleading competition.
The Touchstone Energy All “A” Classic strengthened its commitment to academics and education in 1996-97 by providing scholarship opportunities open to all students of Class “A” schools. In the first year of the scholarship program, twelve $1,000 scholarships were awarded to Class “A” seniors planning to attend any Kentucky institution of higher education. The number of scholarships increased to a total of $70,000 for 2002-2003. In addition, other scholarships are presented annually as part of the statewide art competition and this year the total scholarships provided by the All “A” Classic will exceed $1,000,000.
