Mark your calendar – Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015 — for the 20th Annual Thanksgiving Walk of Awareness for Frankfort’s ACCESS Soup Kitchen and Men’s Shelter! Sign in begins at 7:30am. Coffee and light snacks will be available during registration. Walk begins at 8:30am at 311 Washington Street – Church of the Ascension – several mile walk through historic downtown Frankfort, to the State Capitol, ending at the ACCESS building at 311 West Second Street. Receive a long sleeve t-shirt or a pull string backpack with a donation.

The annual walk helps fund food, supplies, and shelter for those in need. If you are on Facebook, check out the page at 20th Annual Walk of Awareness!

This year we are asking walkers to expand the participation by signing up sponsors for your walk, using the registration form attached. Registration sheets will be on the Facebook page and the website www.accesssoupkitchen.com/   Of course, all walkers are welcome, whether you wish to seek sponsors or not. But there will be special recognition and drawings for prizes for those who do!

ACCESS Soup Kitchen & Men’s Shelter mission: to provide at least one nutritious meal seven days a week to low income and disadvantaged individuals; and to provide temporary shelter for men on a night to night basis. ACCESS Soup Kitchen and Men’s Shelter is located at 311 W 2nd St., Frankfort, KY.

If you would like to help promote the Walk and/or raise funds for the Soup Kitchen, please share this e-mail with your friends and family, or print out a copy of the attached “Walk of Awareness” poster and post it so your co-workers, friends, family, church community or others can learn about the Walk.
