Once again, the annual Easter Egg Roll held on Saturday was sponsored and hosted by Frankfort’s own CapCity Communications and their Star 103.7 radio station.  The event promoted literacy in our community by requesting a book donation for children to participate. Although the weather started off rather frigid, hundreds showed up for the 4th annual event.

The annual event, held at Lakeview Park in Frankfort, featured kids’ activities from several area businesses, free popcorn, face painting, egg dyeing, games, goodie bags, and even photos with the Easter Bunny compliments of Capital Living. The races were broken up into age categories.  And, after all the kids’ races, adults with a “special egg” in their child’s goody bag were able to participate in a contest to win Jimmy Buffet tickets! Participants dawned rain ponchos as they took a chance on having several raw or ONE hard boiled egg, cracked over their heads.  Congratulations to all of the winners!  Hope everyone had a great time!
