The parking lot at the Old Train Depot downtown played host to sixty-two classic cars, motorcycles, and unique vehicles from all eras, coming together for the Froggy Country’s Cruisin’ for St. Jude fundraiser, sponsored by local radio station Froggy 104.9.  The event held on Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm was a free event for spectators and a fundraiser for one of CapCity Communications’ favorite charities, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  There was food, music by DJ Rick Johnson, a cake walk, silent auction and door prizes from both the radio station and the car show. With generous sponsorship from The Bourbon Trail Bombers, The Toles-Taulbee Families, The Kentucky Historical Society, Kentucky Highway Industries, and Hardee’s, this year’s event brought in thousands for the charity.  Now in it’s second year, the fundraiser seems to be gaining in popularity and has struck a chord with car and country music enthusiasts alike.
