Saturday marked the opening day for the 2016 season of the Franklin County Farmers Market. Although the weather was cool and overcast, several vendors and patrons came out to the pavilion at River View Park to buy and sell their goods. Everything from baked good, seasonal vegetables, flowers, fresh meat, etc., were offered up for sale. The Farmers Market will be open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, from 7 am to 12 pm or sellout. To find out more about what local farms and vendors participate, log onto their website at www.franklincountyfarmersmarket.org. You can sign up for weekly emails there as well as find more information on their Facebook Page. The market will now be open through early November. Drop by and buy local.
