Frankfort, KY – On Tuesday, March 1, 2016,  the head of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Administrator Maria Contreras-Sweet announced this year’s National Small Business Week will be held from May 1-7.  This year’s theme will be “Dream Big, Start Small.”  Every year since 1963 SBA takes the opportunity to highlight the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from across the nation through National Small Business Week.

The Frankfort Area Chamber of Commerce, along with Mayor Bill May, City of Frankfort and County Judge Executive Huston Wells, Franklin County Fiscal Court will host a proclamation photo shoot on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 10:00am on the Capitol steps – Celebrating May 1-May 7, 2016 as National Small Business Week in Frankfort and Franklin County.  The Chamber will host FYI segments on our Facebook page next week – highlighting our local Small Businesses, along with having on FACEBOOK fans nominate their favorite local small business—the top five will be announced during Small Business Week and will be featured on the Chamber website and Facebook page for one day.
