The 2016 KECU Spring ArtWalk goes down in the books as one of the more family-friendly events in the commonwealth’s capital city. On Friday evening, families could be seen along sidewalks and at many of the art stops throughout Frankfort. Live music filled the air outside some venues. While other venues offered a more quaint indoor atmosphere. The McClure Building seems to be an art lover’s dream, as many local artists have taken up residence inside the renovated spaces. Everything from pottery, to painting, photography, jewelry, and even scarves, could be found downtown this year. While Completely Kentucky offers these options year round within their retail space, they gave children to opportunity to do hands on art activities during this event. With the nice weather, the downtown was bustling with activity and something to do for everyone.
