Scottish Genealogy Research with Bob McLaren

10:30-11:30 a.m. – Session 1: An Introduction to Scottish Genealogy Research Via the Internet

Topics include finding aids, major databases and lesser-known databases. 

11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m. – Lunch Break.
(Brown bag recommended. We do not supply lunch.)
12:15 p.m.-1:15 p.m. – Session 2: Using ScotlandsPeople

ScotlandsPeople is a must-use website for anyone doing Scottish research. McLaren will provide an in-depth description on how to use this website and its contents. He will show examples of how to do searches and the records that are found.

1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. – Encore Session: Case Studies in Scottish Research

In this special optional session, McLaren will present two case studies. 

Free admission. Walk-ins are welcome, but since seating is limited, we strongly encourage pre-registration.
