Friday night’s Candlelight Tradition Family Fun Night saw changes to the second night of the annual event. Noticeably missing was the annual “lantern release” in front of the Old State Capitol that drew families and friends together on the second night of Candlelight. Instead, the corner of St Clair and Wapping saw a lot of activity. With a petting zoo and live nativity scene sponsored by the First Baptist Church at the Singing Bridge, and The Lancaster at St Clair hosting Santa and the Frankfort School of Ballet performing some of the Nutcracker. Families flocked down the opposite end of St Clair to enjoy the festivities. Many stopped by Canoe Kentucky, where they enjoyed free s’mores over a fire pit. While still others waited in line outside of B’s Bakery for some sweet treats.
