Just in time for Christmas! The Grand Theatre will continue to celebrate the holiday season this Sunday, Dec. 18, with a double feature, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and “Home Alone.” Admission is $5 and the start time is 2 p.m.
This is the 50th anniversary of Dr. Theodore Seuss’ animated holiday classic. Boris Karloff provided the narration for the adventures of the mean-spirited Grinch, as he seeks without success to destroy the spirit of Christmas. The legendary Chuck Jones directed the beloved cartoon.
The 1990 movie “Home Alone” follows the comic travails of a boy who is accidentally left at home during the Christmas holiday and is forced to turn the tables on two half-witted, would-be burglars. Macaulay Culkin plays the lead role. Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern are the inept criminals. “Home Alone” is rated PG-13.
Tickets may be purchased at the door, at the ticket office at 312 W. Main St. between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays or by calling 502-352-7469.
