You’ll see some new faces around Frankfort beginning this morning and over the next several days as the Kentucky All “A” Classic Basketball Tournament returns to the Frankfort Convention Center for the 6th year in a row. The Convention Center is the perfect venue to host the Kentucky All “A” Classic Basketball Tournament which begins today at 8:30 am.  The best of the best in high school girls’ and boys’ basketball from around the state will be competing in Frankfort from today through January 29th.

This tournament for girls and boys who attend small high schools in Kentucky is a great opportunity to enjoy some excellent athletic competition in our community. More importantly, the money raised from ticket sales from the tournament provides funding for scholarships for students from these small schools.

16 boys’ and 16 girls’ regional basketball champs will battle it out for All “A” state titles. The girls’ tournament begins January 25th, and the boys’ tournament January 26th. Both state championship games are scheduled for Sunday, January 29th.

In-game cheerleading competitions will take place during the first rounds of boys’ and girls’ basketball play.

The 2017 tournament begins on Jan. 25 at 8:30 a.m. There are two sessions of four games in the morning and again in the afternoon.

Tickets can be purchased for each session on game day. The price is $10 a person per session. Tickets are available at the ticket windows at the Frankfort Convention Center.  For additional information, visit www.frankfortconventioncenter.com and allaclassic.org.
