Man o’ War: Not Just Another Racehorse
Join us in celebrating Man o’ War’s 100th birthday as KHS kicks off its regular season of the Food for Thought speakers series and luncheon.
Man o’ War was unquestionably the most famous Thoroughbred who ever lived, revered not only for his speed, but for his temperament, intelligence and his lasting impact on Kentucky’s culture. Travis Robinson, assistant director of the International Horse Museum, will talk about the horse and a new exhibit at the Kentucky Horse Park that commemorates this national icon.
For the past 10 years, Travis Robinson has helped transform the IMH from its 1978 roots into a 21st century museum. He has helped lead the way as the IMH reinvents itself as a center for all things horse by combining modern scholarship and a one-of-a-kind collection of art, artifacts and books to develop contemporary interpretive exhibits and programs for everyone.
