12:30 – 4:00 pm – Scenic Train Ride!, at the Bluegrass Railroad Museum, 175 Beasley Rd, Versailles

Enjoy a ride through the rolling Kentucky countryside! Learn about railroading and local history! View tiny trains as they transverse tiny twisting tracks!

The Museum and Gift Shop open at 12:30, while the train will depart at 2. The ride is approximately 90 minutes, and includes a mid-ride stop, with the opportunity for passengers to disembark, walk up to the edge of the Young’s High Bridge, and overlook the Kentucky River Palisades.

There are restrooms at the station, but not on the train.

1:00 – 2:30 pm – Rock Painting and Vineyard Hike, at Verona Vineyards, 13815 Walton Verona Rd, Verona

Find a rock, paint a rock, hide a rock.

Enjoy a glass of wine, paint your rock, and hike the vineyard and surrounding trails. At the end of the day take your rock and place it somewhere near or far for others to discover and enjoy. 1:00 – 3:00 pm – Franklin County Humane Society Annual Meeting, at the Franklin County Extension Office, 101 Lakeview Court

The FCHS Annual Meeting will be held on June 25, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Franklin County Extension Office, 101 Lakeview Court. More information will be provided in the annual membership mailing that will go out the middle of June.

1:00 – 9:00 pm – Sunday Bloody Fun Day, at Kentucky Coffeetree Cafe, 235 W Broadway. Relax on your Sunday, grab breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner with new extended hours, 8:00 am – 9:00 pm. Take the edge off with the Specialty Bloody Mary Bar. Info HERE

Rocksteady is a Lexington KY based band of fun-loving, dedicated musicians who deliver a variety of Rock favorites, Blues, R&B, and more! They have decades of professional musical experience love to perform for our friends, family and fans!

Our “Tunes in the Vines” series is back this year as we celebrate our 19th year. A bottle of wine, good friends and great music are the perfect blend for Sunday afternoons! We have a wide variety of musicians to perform on our Event Barn stage from 2:00pm-4:30pm each Sunday for an afternoon of family friendly entertainment! We help support our many local musicians and hope that you will too! Bring a picnic, lawn chairs or blankets! Don’t forget the family and friends…We have the wine!

3:00 – 5:00 pm – Dueling Pianos Fundraiser Concert, at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1075 Collins Lane

The Frankfort Piano Quartet will hold a benefit Dueling Pianos concert for the Franklin County Humane Society on Sunday, June 25, 3 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1075 Collins Lane in Frankfort.

Admission free; monetary donations accepted at the door

The program will feature four- and eight-hand piano arrangements of well-known works by such composers as Bach, Chabrier, Tchaikovsky and Bizet. Charlie Kendell will serve as emcee, providing short histories of each of the works. A brief reception, hosted by Immanuel Baptist Church, will follow the concert.

The quartet features local musicians Gabrielle Gayheart, pianist for Immanuel Baptist Church; Roland Herzel, organist for South Frankfort Presbyterian Church; Gary Johnson, music director for First Presbyterian Church; and John Martin, music director for Church of the Ascension.
