Together Frankfort Invites Citizens to Women’s Suffrage Program & Kentucky United Program, September 26, 6 PM, Downtown United Bank’s Community Room

(Frankfort KY; 14 Sept. 2017) Together Frankfort invites the community to learn how women fought for the 19th Constitutional Amendment as well as opportunities to work with Kentucky United, a new grassroots group, 6 PM, Tuesday, Sept. 26, Community Room, 4th floor, United Bank, 125 W. Main, Frankfort. The meeting includes a social hour with finger food and refreshments, featuring Together Frankfort’s Fall Fundraising launch.

“Women & the Vote: The Long Path to the Goal,” written and produced by Frankfort’s Sylvia Coffey, includes a lively program about women’s suffrage and struggles to enact the 19th U.S. Constitutional Amendment. Then Susan Klimchak, of Kentucky United, will discuss their new grassroots organization, focused on educating Kentuckians on the political process and how to become more involved.

Together Frankfort’s Environment Team, Pension Program Monitoring Team, and Campaign Finance/Dark Money Team will provide briefings on upcoming events. Everyone is encouraged to bring a snack to share to close out the evening. Together Frankfort, a nonpartisan citizens’ network focused on civic participation, improved voter involvement, and education on public issues, encourages citizen engagement in community life.
