We’re having a visiting steam engine again, for the FOURTH year in a row! We’ll host ‘Mack’, Jeddo Coal #85, for three weekends in September! This will be Mack’s debut appearance, as it has just recently been completely rebuilt.
Mack is an 0-4-0 saddle tank steam engine, built in 1928. It is the fourth traveling steam engine owned, rebuilt, and maintained, by John and Barney Gramling, a father and son outfit based in Indiana.
Come out to the Bluegrass Railroad Museum, and ride behind Mack! We’ll have two trains, departing at 2 pm and 5 pm, on each day, September 9 & 10, 16 & 17, and 23 & 24. Ticket prices range between $20 and $29.

3:00 pm – Capital Bowl Youth League, at Capital Bowl, 80 Anderson Rd
The Capital Bowl Youth Bowling League starts on the 24th of this month at 3 PM. We are asking anyone who doesn’t sign up ahead of time to arrive 20 minutes early. Anyone who is 4 – 20 years old as of August 1st can bowl (no experienced needed/no equipment needed). It is $10 per child per week, they bowl 24 weeks. If they can’t make it one of the Sundays we are allowing them to bowl before or afterward the week they can’t make. The league has certified coaches to help the kids and we are giving out scholarship money at the end of the league.
