1:00 – 7:00 pm – Paddle-Palooza 2017, at River View Park, 404 Wilkinson Blvd

Paddle-Palooza is a FREE, fun, and family oriented event along the banks for the beautiful Kentucky River in Frankfort, Kentucky.

Paddlepalooza was one of the most successful padding events ever on the Kentucky River when it was offered over a decade ago!

Wind down your paddling season with a group float on the beautiful Kentucky River. Two group trips will be offered this day; one heading to Buffalo Trace Distillery through Lock and Dam Number 4. And the other tour heading upstream to see the 6 bridges of Frankfort.

We will have two guided tours throughout the day.

Beginning at 12 PM, we will have our first group putting in at the River View Park Boat Dock, paddling down river to Lock and Dam Number 4, locking though, taking out at the Buffalo Trace Distillery Boat Ramp, shuttled to the distillery for a tour of the grounds, then back to the river to lock back through and finish back at the beginning.

Beginning at 2:30 pm, we will have a tour heading upstream to see the 6 bridges of Frankfort. Also learn a bit about the water quality, history of the river and the town, and more. Both trips will conclude by 4:00 PM.

At 4:00, the fun is not over! Heath & Molly, a very well know Kentucky Roots band from Rumsey Kentucky will be providing some awesome live music. They even have a few songs about our own local Elkhorn Creek!

Food trucks will be available all day selling bar-b-que, burgers, drinks and more. But feel free to bring the lawn chairs, some snacks and drinks and enjoy a day on the water with friends. Might be the last time this year!

Rental canoes and kayaks will be made available. Advanced reservations for rentals are required. Make rental reservations by going to our website and making them, or by contacting CKY at either:
