Brown Bites Lecture Explores the Reason behind Burr’s Visit to Frankfort

Liberty Hall Historic Site will offer a lunchtime lecture on Saturday, November 17 beginning at noon. “Trials & Tribulations: Aaron Burr in John Brown’s Kentucky” will be presented by Kate Hesseldenz, Curator of Liberty Hall Historic Site. Aaron Burr became infamous after killing Alexander Hamilton in 1804. After the duel, Burr traveled west in 1805 and 1806 with stops in central Kentucky. What was he doing in the western country? Why did he visit John Brown of Liberty Hall? The lecture will explore possible motives for his western trips and meetings with John Brown.Lecture tickets are $20 per person and include the lunch.
