With over 10,500 recipes, it’s the only app you need to make any cocktail you want
New Orleans, LA (Nov. 28, 2017) – Due to popular demand, the ever expanding and completely comprehensive Mr. Boston website has now been made into an app, available for both iOS and Android users.
Last year, Mr. Boston announced the completion of https://mrbostondrinks.com/, complete with every recipe from the ubiquitous Mr. Boston Official Bartender Guide since the first edition was printed in 1935. In total, 10,540 historical recipes have been digitized, preserving the original text and ingredients.
In addition to recipes, users can find information on bar basics, history, spirits, search for drinks by specific ingredients, (example, bourbon, vodka, etc.) or even specific color (example, if you want to have a blue party). New features that are exclusive to the app are “Shopping List” and “My Bar,” designed to help the user track down the ingredients they need to make their favorite cocktails.
“The response to the Mr. Boston website has been tremendous, including many requests to make it into an app,” said Lori Logan, marketing director, cordials. “We’re now ready to roll out the app version, which retains key features of the website with a few new additions which we think will improve the mobile experience even more.”
The Sazerac Company bought the Mr. Boston brand in 2009. Work later began to take the famous red cocktail book found on every bar into the next century by building a comprehensive website, and now, an app. “The ties between our company and Mr. Boston are inextricably linked, with not only the Sazerac Cocktail, but our heritage in New Orleans, a city long synonymous with the cocktail culture,” said Mark Brown, president and chief executive officer, the Sazerac Company. “It was a natural fit to bring it all together where we are ensuring the future of the brand for at least another 80 years as the ‘go to’ site for professional and amateur mixologists.”
Sazerac is one of America’s oldest family owned, privately held distillers with operations in the United States in Louisiana, Kentucky, Virginia, Tennessee, Maine, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Maryland, California, and global operations in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, India, Australia and Canada.
