After Hours at Liberty Series
To better serve audiences interested in evening programs and attract repeat community visitors, LHHS is piloting a new series of tours and events, After Hours at Liberty. Evening tours offered in 2013 and 2014 attracted a surprising number of people who had not previously visited the site. This year’s programs will feature a variety of topics and themes – from tours to garden events – to appeal to a range of interests.
Liberty Hall Historic Site will kick off the series with Barks, Brews & BBQ on June 4th at 5:30 p.m. The event is inspired by the canine visitors and their pet parents who frequent the Liberty Hall grounds every day. Guests will be able to take a self-guided tour of the grounds and see yard signs that introduce them to the former canine residents of Liberty Hall, including Duke and Judge. Admission to the event is free, and local beer and barbecue will be available for purchase.
Other After Hours at Liberty events include the Life & Liberty Tour, July 2nd; Butterfly Garden Party, August 6th; and Plein Air Painting & Wine on September 3rd. Some events require pre-registration or a nominal admission fee. For more information on the After Hours at Liberty series, visit www.libertyhall.org, or call Liberty Hall at (502) 227-2560.
